Ama Dablam 6,812 m Expedition

Submit Review
Mount Ama Dablam is a spectacular mountain located in the Khumbu region of Nepal, near the famous Everest Base Camp. It stands at an elevation of 6,812 meters (22,349 feet) and is renowned for its stunning beauty and challenging climbing routes. An expedition to Ama Dablam is a serious undertaking and requires experienced mountaineers. It's considered one of the most technically demanding climbs in the Himalayas, featuring steep rock, ice, and mixed terrain. Climbers should have prior experience with high-altitude mountaineering, proficiency in using climbing equipment, and be prepared for extreme weather conditions. The name "Ama Dablam" means "Mother's Necklace" in Nepali, referring to the mountain's double-ridged summit resembling the arms of a mother protecting her child, and the hanging glacier resembling a "dablam," which is a traditional double-pendant worn by Sherpa women.
