Everest kit FAQ
Do I need a full down suit for Everest?
Most South Col and North Col summit pushes use a one-piece expedition down suit (or equivalent jacket + pants system) rated for extreme cold. Match your operator’s kit list.
Can I rent technical gear instead of buying?
Many operators rent boots, down suits, and oxygen systems. Buy personal-fit items (boots if you climb often, harness, eyewear) and rent the rest if you are unsure.
How should I treat affiliate links on this page?
We earn a small commission when you buy through Check price links. It does not change your price. Links were verified on 2026-09-21 against current merchant PDPs.
Why don’t all products have a Check price link?
Some items are still awaiting a confirmed current product page. They’re listed as plain text so you can search for them yourself — we won’t link to a merchant homepage.
Is this list for Nepal or Tibet?
It covers both the South (Nepal) and North (Tibet) approaches. Confirm final kit with your guide company — oxygen, radios, and group gear vary by operator.
Links verified: 2026-09-21. Some products are listed without a price link until a current product page is confirmed. No fake lab scores.
