Short answer
As of 10 Oct 2026, 7 operators have 17 verified client reviews for Manaslu Circuit trek on ExpedReview. Ranked first by those reviews is Ace the Himalaya (5.0★ from 4 reviews, latest Sep 2026), then The Mountain Company (4.7★ from 6 reviews, latest Jul 2021) and Royal Holidays Adventure and Travel Company (5.0★ from 2 reviews, latest Jun 2026). The Manaslu region is a restricted area, so you need a licensed guide and a registered agency anyway. The choice is which one: compare the guide, the acclimatisation days, the tea houses and the emergency plan.

What to look for in a Manaslu Circuit operator
Ask every operator on your shortlist the same questions, in writing.
A licensed guide and a registered agency
Nepal's Department of Immigration requires trekkers in restricted areas, including the Manaslu and Tsum Valley regions, to be accompanied by a licensed trekking guide and to arrange the trip through a registered trekking agency; one guide may lead up to seven trekkers, and the agency is responsible for emergency rescue and logistics (The Kathmandu Post). Ask for your guide's name and experience on this trek, and how many trekkers they will lead.

Enough days to acclimatise
Ask for every night's village and altitude, and where the rest days are. Medical guidance above 3,000 m is to raise your sleeping altitude by no more than about 500 m a day, with an extra night for every 1,000 m gained (CDC Yellow Book).
Our reviews Acclimatisation: mentioned in 5 of 17 reviews (5 in 4–5★ reviews, 0 below 4★); Pace & itinerary: mentioned in 2 of 17 reviews (2 in 4–5★ reviews, 0 below 4★).
Tea houses, food and porters
Ask which tea houses you will use, which meals are included, and whether a porter carries your bag and how much they carry.

Side trips and transport
Some of our Manaslu reviewers combined the circuit with the Tsum Valley. Ask whether side trips are included, how you get to the start and back, and what the permit and transport costs are.
Our reviews Flights & transfers: mentioned in 1 of 17 reviews (1 in 4–5★ reviews, 0 below 4★).
The emergency plan
The agency is responsible for emergency rescue in restricted areas (The Kathmandu Post). Ask exactly how a sick trekker would be evacuated, and check your insurance covers helicopter rescue at the altitude you will reach.

Red flags
None of these proves an operator is unsafe. Each is a reason to stop and ask more questions.
- An offer to do it without a licensed guide. Restricted-area rules require one. An operator that suggests otherwise is not following the rules.
- Too few days for the height. A short itinerary that gains height quickly. Compare the number of nights, not just the price.
- No clear answer on who guides you. An operator that cannot tell you the guide or how many trekkers they will lead.
- A vague emergency plan. No plain answer on how an evacuation would be organised and paid for.
How we built this
- Verified reviews only. Every review is checked by our team before it is published. Critical reviews stay up.
- Tied to this place. Every figure on this page uses only the 17 reviews written for Manaslu Circuit trek, not an operator's reviews elsewhere.
- Same order as the place page. The ranking is the one on the Manaslu Circuit page.
- Prices. Shown only where a Pro operator set the price itself on ExpedReview; prices 1 to 3 years old carry a “may be out of date” note; older ones, and prices carried over from our old site that the operator never edited, are hidden.
- Themes. Counted by matching keywords in each review's title and text. A review counts once per theme.
- ERTI. The ERTI shown on operator profiles is a company-wide score out of 5, built from reviews we verify and many other factors. It is not a rating for Manaslu Circuit and is not used in the order above.
- Independence. No operator paid to appear on this page. Operators cannot pay to rank higher or to have reviews removed.
- Outside facts. Anything not from our reviews is linked to its source: The Kathmandu Post, 22 Mar 2026, CDC Yellow Book, 23 Apr 2025 (checked 11 Oct 2026).
