Any trip to Mount Baker begins with a flight into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Many guides will opt to meet you here and provide transport to the start of the trip. However, it is also easy enough to rent a car and make the 2.5-hour drive to one of the trailheads. Your travel route will vary depending on the expedition you choose. Please refer to the individual guides expeditions for more information.
Weather: During the summer months, average daily temperatures at the base of Mount Baker range from 10 ºC to 15 ºC (50 ºF to 60 ºF). These fall to below freezing toward the summit.
