
Mount K2 is the second highest mountain in the world at the elevation of 8,611m. It is located on the border between Baltistan, northern Pakistan and Taxkorgan Tajik, China. Mt. K2 is the highest peak of the Karakoram Range and highest peak of Pakistan.
Mt. K2 is one of the extreme difficult mountain to climb therefore it is also known as Savage Mountain with the second highest casualty rate amount the 8,000m peaks. It is very hard and dangerous to reach the peak from Chinese side therefore the normal route is from Pakistan.
The casualty rate is 4:1 that means from the four climbers minimum of 1 climber dies on this mountain during the attempt
