Chulu West (6,419m) is the sister peak to Chulu East. More technical than Chulu East. First ascent in 1955. Part of the Chulu massif visible from the Annapurna Circuit.
Notable itineraries
Standard Route (14-18 days): Via Manang approach. Southwest Face: More technical climbing. Combined with Chulu East for double peak expedition. Glacier crossing to high camp.
Currency
Nepalese Rupee (NPR) is the official currency. Peak permit through NMA. Similar costs to Chulu East. Combined permits available for both peaks.
