Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal, you will be warmly greeted by one of our representatives. After completing immigration and customs procedures, you will be transferred to your designated hotel. Later in the day, you will have the opportunity to meet with your experienced trekking or climbing guide, who will provide you with a comprehensive briefing about the upcoming adventure, including safety guidelines and a detailed itinerary overview. This initial meeting will help you prepare for the exciting journey ahead and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Arrival in Kathmandu

On this day,  immerse yourself in Kathmandu's rich culture and history. Begin with visits to iconic landmarks like the Swayambhunath Stupa, affectionately known as the Monkey Temple, and the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa. You'll also pay your respects at the sacred Pashupatinath Temple. After absorbing the cultural treasures, return to your accommodations for a final gear check and meticulous preparations, ensuring that you're fully equipped and ready for the challenging climb ahead on Chulu West Peak.

Sighseeing around Kathmandu and Trek Preparation

The adventurous journey commences as you embark on a scenic road journey from Kathmandu to Besisahar, nestled at an altitude of 760 meters. You'll be traveling in a private vehicle, and the drive typically spans around 6 to 7 hours. After a day of picturesque landscapes and winding roads, you'll settle in for an overnight stay in Besisahar.

Kathmandu to Besisahar

Today, you'll embark on a picturesque journey from Besisahar to Chame. This drive is a delightful scenic route that unfolds over approximately 5-6 hours, allowing you to soak in the stunning landscapes of the Himalayan region. Your day will culminate with an overnight stay in the charming town of Chame, nestled at an altitude of 2,710 meters, where you can rest and prepare for the exciting adventures that lie ahead.

Besisahar to Chame (2,710 meters)

From Chame, you'll officially begin your trek from Chame towards the enchanting destination of Pisang. This leg of the trek promises a visual feast as it unveils the breathtaking panoramas of both the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. You'll be captivated by the majestic peaks that surround you as you make your way through this stunning terrain. At the end of the day, you'll find solace in Pisang, where you'll spend the night, recharging for the adventures that lie ahead.

Chame to Pisang (3,200m)

For safety measures, you'll take an acclimatization break at the village of Pisang. This crucial process involves adjusting to the higher altitude, which is essential for your well-being during the ascent. While in Pisang, take the opportunity to explore the charming village and its picturesque surroundings. Additionally, engage in short hikes specifically designed to help your body acclimatize to the increased elevation. This day of acclimatization is vital for ensuring your body is prepared for the challenges of higher altitudes as you progress toward Chulu West Peak.

Acclimatization day at Pisang

Early morning, you'll make your way from Pisang to the Chulu West Base Camp, located at an elevation of 4,900 meters. As you trek, you'll gradually ascend to higher altitudes, immersing yourself in the stunning mountain landscapes along the way. The day's journey concludes as you settle in at the base camp, where you'll spend the night, preparing for the challenges and adventures that lie ahead.

Pisang to Chulu West Base Camp (4,900m)

Take a well-deserved rest at the base camp while focusing on acclimatization to the higher altitude. This essential break allows your body to adjust to the thinner air and reduced oxygen levels. During this time, seize the opportunity to engage in comprehensive discussions with your guide regarding climbing techniques and essential safety protocols. These discussions will bolster your confidence and preparedness for the upcoming ascent, ensuring that you are well-equipped to handle the challenges of Chulu West Peak.

Rest and acclimatization at Base Camp

After breakfast, you will make your way to the Chulu West High Camp situated at an altitude of 5,500 meters. Here, you'll prepare meticulously for your upcoming summit attempt. The high camp serves as your base for the summit bid, and you'll spend the night here, acclimatizing further and finalizing your plans for the challenging ascent.

This is the most important day of your journey and you'll embark on an early morning summit expedition, beginning your ascent towards the towering peak of Chulu West, which stands at an impressive 6,419 meters. After a challenging climb, you'll triumphantly reach the summit, where you'll be rewarded with awe-inspiring panoramic vistas of the surrounding Himalayan landscape. Following this incredible achievement, you'll carefully descend to the base camp, all within the same day, ensuring a safe return after your triumphant summit experience.

Summit Day (6,419m) and Return to Base Camp

This day will serve as a contingency day, strategically set aside to account for any unexpected challenges such as unfavorable weather conditions or potential delays that may occur during the climb. This additional day provides a safety buffer and flexibility in the itinerary, allowing for adjustments as needed to ensure a safe and successful summit attempt. It serves as a crucial element of the plan to address unforeseen circumstances and maximize the chances of a successful Chulu West Peak climb.

Extra Summit Day (Reserve Day)

From today, you'll descend from the Base Camp and make your way back to the picturesque village of Manang, nestled at an altitude of 3,540 meters. As you trek downhill, you'll not only relish the change in scenery but also appreciate the increasing levels of oxygen as you descend to a lower altitude. After a day of trekking, you'll arrive in Manang, where you can unwind and savor a more comfortable evening in the milder mountain climate. Your overnight stay will be in Manang, providing you with a well-deserved rest before continuing your journey.

Today, you'll embark on a challenging trek from Manang to Besisahar. Be prepared for a full day of hiking through the picturesque Himalayan landscapes. Upon reaching Besisahar, you'll settle in for a well-deserved overnight stay.

From Besisahar you'll have a scenic drive back to the vibrant city of Kathmandu. This journey will provide you with a chance to reflect on your incredible adventure. In the evening, indulge in a well-deserved farewell dinner in Kathmandu to celebrate the successful completion of your Chulu West Peak climb, sharing stories and memories with your fellow trekkers and guides.

Today is the farewell day and you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Chulu West Peak climbing adventure.
