Itinerary
Day 01: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi or the airport. We’ll head out in our private 4x4 Jeep for Amboseli National Park on the Nairobi/Mombasa Highway. Our journey begins by traveling through the African savannah with its local farms. You may spot Maasai herdsmen in their colorful wraps tending their cattle.
We’ll enjoy lunch at our Amboseli accommodation, with time to freshen up and relax. As promised, the imposing form of Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the scenery of this small park, where wildlife is often spotted through the sparse scrub.
In the afternoon, we'll go on game drives, and we’ll be sure to see Amboseli’s famous elephants marching to or from a favorite waterhole.
Dinner and our overnight stay are at Kibo Safari Camp.
Day 02: Full-Day Amboseli National Park
We like to rise early while on safari to set an adventurous tone for the day. After breakfast, you will be picked up from your lodge and head to the plains of Amboseli for a day full of adventure. Soak in the excellent views of Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds build up over the summit. Catch the big cats as they stroll through the savannah. This is the best time to spot lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Our game drive will also take you to Observation Hill to have an overall view of the park. Gaze at the big herds of elephants crossing near your vehicle and get the chance to spot over 80 different mammals and over 400 different bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing with the game drive. In the evening, return to your lodge to relax, enjoy dinner, and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.
Day 03: Amboseli National Park - Lake Naivasha
You'll enjoy a sumptuous breakfast followed by a check-out and drive to Lake Naivasha. After our relatively short drive, we’ll arrive at Lake Naivasha for lunch and check-in. We will transition from Jeep to boat for a safari across the lake in the afternoon. On the water, we’ll glide past curious hippos and exotic fish and have a chance to take in the full avian life, such as cormorants and pelicans. We will then switch gears for a guided walking safari to the nearby Crescent Island Sanctuary, where we can stroll past peacefully grazing antelope, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, and more.
Day 04: Lake Naivasha - Hell's Gate - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you'll visit the Hell’s Gate National Park for a bicycle ride, a walking safari, or a hike in the Hell's Gate Gorge. You can cycle to the nearby Hel’ls Gate National Park, where you can explore this park on foot as you spot animals.
Later, a short one-hour drive will take us to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, we proceed for a game drive in the famous Lake Nakuru National Park. Birdlife abounds, with flamingoes seen in their thousands, pelicans, and other bird species. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to the black and white rhino species, warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffes, and many more.
Dinner and our overnight stay are at the Sarova Lionhill Lodge.
Day 05: Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve
You'll wake up for an early breakfast, check out, and set off for the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is a drive that lasts approximately 5 hours. You'll arrive in time for lunch and check-in. Later in the afternoon, you'll head out for an afternoon game drive in the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, home to the Eighth Wonder of the World, the great wildebeest migration. We'll look for many animals, such as lions, leopards, Maasai giraffes, Cape buffalos, cheetahs, and elephants.
Dinner and our overnight stay are at the Basecamp Mara Camp.

Day 06: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy an early breakfast, as today will be a game-viewing extravaganza! We will traverse the Masai Mara National Reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing, encountering the Big Five and more of the lesser game. The Masai Mara remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the natural world. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals compared to any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the diversity of wildlife species make it a one-stop shop for game-viewing activities.
We will enjoy a picnic lunch by the Mara River as we watch hippos and crocodiles, or maybe the great migration (July to October).
