Any trip to Mount Meru begins with a flight to either Moshi Airport (QSI) or Arusha Airport (ARK), both of which can be reached directly for Dar es Salaam. Most guides opt to meet at the airport before providing transport to the hotel. The start of the trek is approximately a 1-hour drive from Arusha and a 3-hour drive from Moshi.
