Pickup from your hotel Moshi or Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, lunch en-route. This is a beautiful park filled with baobabs and acacia trees with a large variety of game such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and waterbuck. Watch the animals come together on the shores of the Tarangire River. The animals are best viewed during the dry season, including elephant herds, elands, oryx, lesser kudu, rhinos, leopards, lions, and cheetahs. The birdlife is varied and plentiful. You can also see the very rare Roam Antelope in this park. In the late evening drive to St.Catherine Monastery in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK | ST.CATHERINE MONASTERY

Drive 20 minutes from St.Catherine Monastery  to the Ngorongoro Crater gate. On the eastern side, the Rift Valley expands across the horizon with elephants, buffalo, zebra, monkeys, and birds scattered across the landscape. You will also see the crater rim within it cradling Tanzania’s diverse concentration of wild and rare animals. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos and prides of lions, including the magnificent black-maned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. Then, in the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha or Moshi or to the airport.

We will depart for Tarangire National Park early in the morning. Once we arrive in Tarangire we will begin exploring the enormous termite mounds and the ancient baobab trees. This park is renowned for its diverse bird species and extensive population of elephants. There are regular sightings of ferocious lions, giraffe, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes, and mischievous baboons. After viewing the wildlife in Tarangire we will continue our journey to our next highlight the Ngorongoro Crater and Close to Lake Manyara. Dinner and overnight. Meals Provided: Lunch & Dinner.

Day 1: MOSHI / ARUSHA – TARANGIRE N. PARK

We will have an early start to the day to ensure that we complete the itinerary for the day which includes a magnificent game drive with a picnic lunch in the crater. Animals infrequently migrate in and out of the crater due to its elevated walls. This means you are capable of spotting every member of the big five in one day. The big five comprises of buffalo, elephants, rhinos, lions and leopards. Some of the other wildlife that you can expect to see includes zebras, hippo, wildebeest and hyenas. The craters also feature an extensive bird population including geese, storks and vultures. You will be graced by the lovely flamingos on the Soda Lake. Our guides are highly skilled and will impress you with their ability to track down animals. This is a skill that a book cannot teach you and that a selected few can perform. Your trip will come to an end in the late afternoon and we will proceed to Arusha/ Moshi Town.

Once your Safari is finished you will be transferred to the hotel where the art therapy workshops will take place. Once you arrived at your hotel you can relax and have a nice dinner. You will also meet with the art therapist who will explain everything you need to know regarding the next days.

Art therapy is an integrative mental health and human services profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making and creative process. In this order, several artistic mediums can be used. For example, we will use: Paint (watercolor, acrylic), markers, pencils, clay, collage, or even music or writing. Art allows to exteriorize, to take a step back, and to see certain situations from a new perspective. Art also allows people to re-motivate themselves, to rediscover their dreams and desires.

This day takes you to Tarangire the home of elephants, you will definitely see many elephants through the park, it's also a great park to sport wild cats as lions, cheetah & leopards are all present in the park various herbivores are present the game drive will take you close to animals and a mid-day lunch by the Tarangire River Picnic Site where small monkeys will try to scare you off your meal.

After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa; the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at a camp.

After breakfast you will depart for serengeti national park, you will do an early game drive seeing the sunrise, then head to explore various parts of the park depending on where the animals have migrated to, expect to see a lot of wildebeest and zebras in a strategic partnership for there survival, a lot of big cats are present in the park lucky enough you can witness a hunt action.

After an early breakfast, we will embark on a game drive to various parts of the parks. We will then return to the camp for lunch and parking for a journey back to Ngorongoro where we will spend the night at Simba campsite which is just on the top of the crater ready for an early descend in the morning.

After an early breakfast, we will descend the crater on a journey to find the black rhinos. Rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater as most animals will be easier to spot from this park due to it being a floor crater. After lunch, we will embark on a game drive and ascend the crater to camp. You will spend time at Sunbright campsite to relax.

After an early breakfast, we will go to the Manyara national park. We will do a game drive, and you'll be viewing plenty of birds (including the famous flamingos on the lake). If you are lucky enough, you can spot the famous tree-climbing lions. We will visit the hippo pool for a close look at the hippos, and we will also spend time in the hot spring. During the drive, other animals you'll be able to see are buffalo, wildebeest, warthogs, vultures, eagles, and monkeys. Later on return to Arusha to your accommodation or alternatively, you can be dropped off the airport.

Start your safari by driving from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, which is about a 2-hour drive. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, and you may also see buffalo and lions. Overnight in a lodge or campsite in the park.

Transfer straight to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park 120km west of Arusha. Everything you’ll see here is on a different scale. It is both compact (this is one of the narrowest parks in Africa) and epic (the Great Rift Escarpment towers over Lake Manyara’s western boundary). The park’s namesake is a shallow, Salt Lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of wading birds (including flamingos and over 500 other bird species). You may see baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest and watch for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater.

On this second last day, we eat breakfast early and descend 600 meters into the crater for an action-packed day of game viewing in this wildlife paradise.
Our 4×4 game drive takes us through the crater floor’s varied ecosystems, where we meet several wild animals.
We have a picnic lunch in the crater.  Then we proceed to the Olduvai Gorge, a deep ravine in the East African Rift Valley. We rest for a picnic lunch and game-watching along the way. The gorge is home to one of the world’s most prominent archaeological sites, which houses some of our humanoid ancestors’ earliest fossils. We go to the Olduvai Gorge Museum to see the excavated fossils of our forefathers, including Homo erectus remains dating back 1.2 million years. After this encounter to proceed for an evening sundowner game viewing before checking in at your Serengeti lodge.
