Arrival Day and transfer to a hotel in Arusha - day one

Visit Arusha National Park to view wild animals found in typical safaris including buffalo, wildebeests, dik-diks, giraffes, and various primates.  Return to Ilboru Safari Lodge for a late lunch and relaxation.  Before dinner meet with your guide to receive a briefing of your trek plans and review the packing of your gear.

Acclimatization day and short safari day to Arusha National Park - day two

Altitude: 6,396' to 8,530'; Hiking time: 3-4 hours
This morning you'll depart Marangu for a 2.5-hour drive on an unpaved road to the Rongai trailhead. Meet your climbing staff and begin hiking from the village of Nale
Moru. The winding path wanders along maize and sugar cane fields before entering the pine forest, then climbs gently through a forest sheltering a variety of wildlife, including the Kilimanjaro Colobus monkey. Our campsite is on the edge of the moorland zone with expansive views of the Kenyan plains and Kibo peak above. Overnight at Rongai Campground [BLD]

Arusha to Rongai Gate and trek from Rongai Gate to Rongai Camp - day three

Altitude: 8,530' to 11,320'; Hiking time: 6-8 hours
Set off with Kibo in front today for a challenging ascent to the "Second Cave" where you will relax and eat a hot lunch with superb views of Kibo and the ice fields on the crater rim. After lunch, we head east towards the jagged peaks of Mawenzi, where we camp in a sheltered valley near Kikelewa Caves campground. [BLD]

Trek from Rongai Camp to Kikelewa Cave Camp - day four

Altitude: 11,320' to 14,210'; Hiking time: 3-4 hours A short but steep climb up grassy slopes offers superb views of this wilderness area. The vegetation zone ends shortly before we reach our next camp at Mawenzi Tarn spectacularly situated beneath the towering spires of Mawenzi. We'll take a short acclimatization hike this afternoon which will take us to 15,500 feet, preparing us for the altitude of Kibo Hut that we'll reach tomorrow.  Overnight at Mawenzi Tarn Hut. [BLD]

Trek from Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Turn Hurt Camp - day five

Altitude: 14,210' to 15,580'; Hiking time: 4-5 hours we cross the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo to reach Kibo Hut. The trail is fairly straight today but the distance will be deceptive. We arrive at Kibo Hut in time for lunch and the remainder of the day is spent resting in preparation for the final ascent. Spend half of the night before final ascent at Kibo Hut [BLD]

Trek from Mawenzi Turn Hut Camp to Kibo Hut Camp - day six

Altitude: 15,580' to 18,650' (Gillman's Point) to 19,340' (summit) then down to 12,200'; Hiking time: 12-16 hours Begin the final, steepest and most difficult part of the ascent at 12:00am. Hike slowly on a switchback trail through loose volcanic scree to reach the crater rim at Gillman's Point.  Along the way, we pass the markers of Rest for a short time to enjoy the spectacular sunrise over Mawenzi. For those who feel strong enough, continue (3 hrs roundtrip) to Uhuru Peak passing close to spectacular glaciers and ice cliffs in the summit area. Descend to Kibo for lunch and a rest then continue down the Marangu route to our Horombo Camp for the night. [BLD]

Trek from Kibo Hut Camp to Summit, return to Kibo Hut Camp and down to Horombo Hut Camp - day seven

Altitude: 12,200' to 6,250'; Hiking time: 5-6 hours
Descend steadily through the moorland, past Mandara Hut, and through a lush rain forest to the Marangu park gate, and drive back to Arusha to Ilboru Safari Lodge or similar for a hot shower and overnight. [BLD]

A day room will be provided for you. In the morning go for shopping for goody souvenirs around Arusha back to the Hotel for lunch pack your duffle earlier evening dinner and transfer to the airport for home departure.

In the morning we drive to Olpopongi in West Kilimanjaro region. Olpopongi is 74 kilometers from Moshi. Our two hours drive will take us through the beautiful outback of West Kilimanjaro. Depending on the season you can see game like zebras and elephants. On clear days you will have amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. We reach Olpopongi before lunch time, where we will be welcomed by the local Maasai with a traditional welcome song and dance.

We take a walk around the village and you will check-in your hut for the night. The guides will then take you to the precious little museum, where you will learn about the history, social organization and tools of Maasai people.

Start your safari by driving from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, which is about a 2-hour drive. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, and you may also see buffalo and lions. Overnight in a lodge or campsite in the park.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is home to the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is one of the best places in Tanzania to see the Big Five, as well as other wildlife such as hippos and hyenas. Overnight in a lodge or campsite near the crater.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti National Park, which is about a 4-hour drive. The Serengeti is known for its big cat population, including lions and leopards, as well as elephants and buffalo. Overnight in a lodge or campsite in the park.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

On your last day, you can do a morning game drive in the Serengeti before driving back to Arusha. If you haven't seen all of the Big Five yet, you may have another chance on the drive out of the park.

Acclimatization and a day safari - day two

The climb starts from Umbwe Gate (1,800 m.) (5,940 F.) The path follows a ridge between two deep valleys up through the dense montane forest. The camp is perched between huge trees and thick undergrowth. There is no water available at this campsite, so we must carry from the gate all the water needed for drinking, food preparation, and cleaning.

The path gets steeper on this section, as you get out of the forest along the Umbwe ridge the route descends slightly to the Barranco camp situated in the valley.

Trek from Umbwe Cave Camp to Barranco Valley Camp - day four

A steep climb up the eastern wall leads us just below the Heim Glacier, where we may have some spectacular views of Kilimanjaro. We then take a steep exit up the Great Barranco Wall, which divides us from the southeastern slopes of Kibo, the trail continues down into the alpine desert of the Karanga Valley, finally, we have a steep climb up to Karanga Camp

Trek from Barranco Valley Camp to Karanga Camp - day five

A steep climb out of Karanga, and an easy path on compacted scree with wide views through this empty and dry landscape up to Barafu Camp. ?The two peaks Kibo and Mawenzi can be seen from Barafu Camp. After a hot lunch at the Camp, The remainder of the day is spent resting as we prepare for the final ascent before an early night summit walk.

Trek from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp - day six

Wake up before midnight in the cover of darkness. We begin a steep climb over loose volcanic scree that has some well-graded zig-zags and a slow but steady pace will take us to the rim of the main crater, Stella Point, at (5,735m) (18,926 F.). We will rest there for a few minutes to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi. Those who are still feeling good can continue slowly to make the two-hour round trip from here along the crater rim to the main peak (5,895 m) (19,453 F.), which is the highest point in Africa. After a few minutes to appreciate your accomplishment we descend to Barafu is amazingly fast, and we stop at Barafu Camp for some refreshment, we continue to descend to reach Mweka Camp.

Trek from Barafu Camp to summit, return to Barafu Camp and down to Mweka Camp - day seven

A gentle walk takes us down through the rainforest to Mweka gate successful climbers will sign out. After the process at the gate, we drive back to a lodge near Arusha city for lunch and farewell dinner following an overnight rest. Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate: 3-5 hours walking. After saying bye to our team in operation you need a Private departure transfer which is included from Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight, unless you have an option to have Safari or any other option we will discuss. [BLD]

We will depart for manyara National Park early in the morning. Once we arrive in manyara we will begin exploring the enormous termite mounds and the ancient baobab trees. This park is renowned for its diverse bird species and extensive population of elephants.

Particularly impressive are the pink-colored flamingos, but there are also many other bird species such as cormorants, pelicans and storks. A total of about 400 different bird species live in the park. The park is also famous for its tree climbing lions, which are usually found in the central and open part of the park. DAY 1 - Moshi / Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast, we head to Tarangire National Park. In 1970, the national park emerged from a former colonial hunting ground. He has a very diverse animal world, not least because of its size, which corresponds to approximately Luxembourg.

The park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in the north of Tanzania, but is also home to many other wild animals. With some luck you can spot lions, cheetahs or leopards. The landscape of the park is very diverse. Especially the huge baobab trees, which are located close together in the north-eastern sector of the park, are particularly impressive. In the late afternoon you will return to Moshi with many impressions of your safari.

DAY 2 - Tarangire National Park - Moshi/Arusha

After breakfast, you'll depart from your Arusha or Moshi accommodations and drive to the park. After your entrance to the park you will embark on a game drive through the park. Your drive will pass you past park landmarks such as the Momella Lakes and Ngurdoto Crater - sometimes known as 'Little Ngorongoro'

Also, your Safari Vehicle will go under the Fig tree (Ficus thonningii) whose roots have grown to take the shape of an arch, large enough for a Safari car (elephant size) to pass underneath you may stop get out of the car and take pictures. During lunch you will stop at a picnic site where you will have your lunch there after proceed with the game drive. At around four you will start leaving the National park for Arusha where you will spend the night!

You'll depart from Arusha after breakfast for the drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The journey takes approximately two hours, but we'll pass through the market town of Mto Wa Mbu along the way. This agricultural and fresh produce market is a melting pot of local cultures and a souvenir hunter's paradise. After a brief stop at the village market, you'll enter Lake Manyara National Park. The park is truly a photographer's playground and offers some of the best game viewing in the world. You can expect to see many of Africa's most well-known animals, with the tree-climbing lions

DAY 2 - Arusha - Lake manyara N.Park ( Game Drive )

After breakfast, you'll go into the Ngorongoro Crater; sometimes considered as the 8th Wonder of the World. Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought after safari destinations in the world. It's a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you'll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa's most recognisable faces.
