My name is Tilak Bahadur Thapa Magar, and I have been working as a trekking and cultural guide since the early 2000s. I hold both an Adventure Trekking Guide Licence (3225/060) and a Cultural & Historical Guide Licence (2777/068). Over the years, I have had the privilege of guiding travellers from all over the world across Nepal's Himalayan trails as well as its cultural and historical sites, including Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Lumbini. My guiding experience has also taken me to Bhutan, Tibet, and the sacred Mount Kailash region. What I enjoy most about my work is helping people experience places in a meaningful way. Whether it is standing at Everest Base Camp, exploring ancient temples in Kathmandu, or travelling through remote mountain villages, I love sharing the stories, culture, and landscapes that make this part of the world so special. In 2003, I founded Nepal Hiking Pvt. Ltd. with the goal of providing honest advice, personalised service, and memorable travel experiences. Even today, I remain actively involved in planning trips and guiding travellers whenever possible. For me, tourism is not just about visiting places. It is about connecting with local people, respecting nature and culture, and creating experiences that travellers will remember long after they return home.
