This expedition uses your unique concept we call EXPRESS ASCENT, a special way of climbing as it will reduce the time needed to climb by almost 50%. So that is 35 days instead of 60!

Gasherbrum means a glowing wall. There are six Gasherbrum peaks in the Karakorum Mountains. It was Captain Young and his buddies who discovered the Gasherbrum glacier in 1889. In 1956, members of an Austrian Karakorum expedition boarded the Gasherbrum II (8035 m). The group was led by Fritz Moravec. A base camp was built on the southern Gasherbrum glacier. Camp 1 was set up at 6005m. Here they had to stay for ten days because of a violent storm. As a result, the expedition team took a large part of their supplies due to an avalanche. After Fritz Moravec, Josef Larch and Hans Willenpart had set up a few the base camp, they went on and set up a bivouac at 7620m. Despite frostbite in the bivouac, the three reached the summit of Gasherbrum-II on July 8 and returned without any further accident.

Please note:

The price offered here is for the trek and accomodation until and including basecamp. It is suitable for all climbers who want to go alpine style!

For climbers who seek for a group, that is also possible as we might be having a joint expedition group anyhow. For climbing equipment, extra porters (that is how guides are called in Pakistan), extra charges apply. Contact us for more details, we are very open to help you.

Entire Organisation made by HÖHENBERGSTEIGEN and our very experienced partner Hunza Guides Pakistan. Pro climbers such as Simone Moro, Denis Urubko, David Lama trust and travel with our partner! Highest quality while on the mountain and intense experience = your safety!
